Curriculum and Learning Design
I teach through design.
For five years at Codio I wrote and revised technical courses for Coursera, covering DevOps, containers, CI/CD, operating systems, Unix, Bash and web security. I was content lead for a 10-week CI/CD program with a new release every week, and learners finished by deploying their own apps with CI/CD through GitHub Actions. I also design for live rooms: a two-year summer creative coding cohort, and Your Voice Is Power, a curriculum and global coding competition published at IEEE RESPECT and ASEE.

Work where this is the main skill comes first, then work where it plays a supporting part.
Coursera Course Catalog at Codio
I wrote 10 published Coursera courses on DevOps, containers, CI/CD, operating systems, Unix, Bash scripting and web security. Together they have reached 48,000+ learners.

Your Voice Is Power
A curriculum and global coding competition I started and led with Georgia Tech's EarSketch team, Amazon Future Engineer and Pharrell Williams' YELLOW, where learners remix Pharrell's music in code. It was published in the IEEE RESPECT 2021 and ASEE 2023 proceedings.

Creative Coding Summer Cohort
I designed and ran a summer creative coding cohort in 2022 and 2023. High school juniors through college freshmen went from Python and Pygame basics to group games and capstone presentations.

Music Tech Workshops at Georgia Tech
I lead annual EarSketch and music technology coding workshops and student panels for high school learners at Georgia Tech, returning each year since 2023. Learners write Python and JavaScript to make music and meet computer science through sound.

Planet Bug
An educational game about insect conservation, played with a custom controller that works like a camera. I programmed the embedded microcontrollers and movement sensors, and the game itself was built in Phaser.

Interactive Lab Lessons
Eight lessons that run right in your browser, from recursion and Git to sound and the Fourier series. I designed and coded each one with animations, live audio and quizzes.

The Urgent Request
Read a real-looking urgent message from your CFO, decide how to respond, and learn to spot the social-engineering red flags before you act.

Vibe Coding: Build by Describing
Pick what to build, then direct, test, and improve a real working example with the say, test, adjust loop.
Computer science
Recursion, watch it run.
Step into a mirror, open nested dolls, write your first recursive function, watch the call stack, then grow a fractal tree.
Engineering · beginner friendly
Git internals, made visible.
No terminal needed. Take snapshots on a timeline and travel back, then see what Git really does: photos, movable labels, and merge versus rebase, all animated.
Music technology · beginner friendly
Anatomy of a sound.
Hear what a sound actually is. Shape its pitch, loudness, waveshape, and envelope, then build a synth and play a short tune. Real audio, right in your browser.
Music technology · signals · Part 1
The Fourier transform, Part 1.
How sound becomes a spectrum. Hear why a flute and a violin playing the same note sound different, read a sound as a waveform and a spectrum, build a tone from pure sines, and find bass, mids, and treble.
Music technology · signals · Part 2
The Fourier transform, Part 2.
How a computer calculates that spectrum. See where samples come from, build a test wave, multiply and add sample by sample, read the DFT formula, and calculate one frequency by hand.
Music technology · signals · Part 3
The Fourier transform, Part 3.
Use it on your gear. Shape sound with EQ, read a headphone curve, see a spectrogram, meet noise cancelling and song recognition, then solve sound mysteries to prove you can read a sound.
